What is the Difference Between Translation and Interpreting?

Translation begins with a document written in one language and results in a document written in another language with the same meaning.  Interpreting is the process of facilitating a discussion between speakers of two different languages.  Both translation and interpreting require a bilingual professional with the relevant training and experience.

Language Scholars provides face-to-face interpreting services for business meetings, conferences, depositions, court hearings and trials. We will arrange to have one of our expert language interpreters meet you at the specified location prior to the event, and they will assist you until the event ends.

We appear on behalf of our clients at venues such as the United States International Trade Commission, 500 E Street, SW Washington, DC. 20436, and the Fairfax City General District Court, located at City Hall, Room 101, 10455 Armstrong Street, Fairfax, VA 22030-3600
